Microsoft confirmed the latest Hotmail Phishing attack that affected 20,000 windows live hotmail accounts. After it was reported by Neowin, the account information were posted by anonymous user at PasteBin.

According to Neowin the leaked account are genuine and most appear to be based in Europe. The list details over 10,000 accounts starting from A through to B, suggesting there could be additional lists.

According to a Microsoft spokesperson, “Over the weekend Microsoft learned that several thousand Windows Live Hotmail customers’ credentials were exposed on a third-party site due to a likely phishing scheme. Upon learning of the issue, we immediately requested that the credentials be removed and launched an investigation to determine the impact to customers. As part of that investigation, we determined that this was not a breach of internal Microsoft data and initiated our standard process of working to help customers regain control of their accounts. ”

Microsoft recommends customers use the following protective security measures:

• Renew their passwords for Windows Live IDs every 90 days
• For administrators, make sure you approve and authenticate only users that you know and can verify credentials
• As phishing sites can also pose additional threats, please install and keep anti-virus software up to date

Microsoft introduced new taskbar in windows 7, its totally different than any previous version of windows, The new taskbar supposed to be more efficient and easier to navigate through open windows and programs.

But if you new to windows 7 you many find the new taskbar little difficult to use, it may take you few weeks to get used to but as soon as you get used to it you will find its nothing like any other version of windows easier to use, But if you want to get back to the old taskbar like you used to you can customize windows 7 taskbar to look like windows vista or xp taskbar.

1-Right click on the windows 7 taskbar and select properties.

2-From the Taskbar and start menu Properties under the taskbar tab look for taskbar buttons, and select “Never combine” from the dropdown menu.

After you don click ok, you will noticed the taskbar changed to look like the old taskbar

If you think the taskbar buttons still looks too big to you go back to the Taskbar and start menu Properties , and mark the third option “Use small icons”

To Enable and acces Bing Visual Search Outside US follow these steps:

• Go to Bing.com

• You will get list of Countries available.
• Select English United States.
