Microsoft adds free POP3/SMTP support to Windows Live Hotmail

Windows Live Hotmail now includes free POP3/SMTP support for users in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Germany,
Italy, and the Netherlands. Microsoft says more countries will be added later this year. To use the new POP3 service, enter the information below in your mail client:
POP server: pop3.live.com
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes

No way!!! I had no idea they added this, cool. I’ve been waiting for something like that for so long, thanks for posting that! Although I don’t see the US in there as one of the areas it’s offered to.
