How To Make Windows Vista Shut Down Faster

Have you ever asked yourself why Windows Vista Take long time sometimes to shut down?
This is because some of application you have installed on your computer and some of windows vista services , takes long time to shut down, windows vista has to force this service to shut down

so here is little trick to make windows vista force this services to shut down faster?

  1. open up the registry editor (stat/run/then type regedit)
  2. navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control”
  3. then on the right panel look for key called “WaitToKillServiceTimeout
  4. you will noticed that the default value is set to 20000 (20000ms=20 seconds)
  5. double click to open the key then change the default value to 5000 then click okt
