How To Fix BOOTMGR is missing Error Message in Windows Vista
Solution one

  1. Get the Vista DVD and insert it into your computer
  2. Reset the BIOS to run from the CD drive first
  3. Now after loading windows vista will ask you to choose language and keyboard setting, then it will ask if you want to repair windows vista choose ok
  4. Now you will get the VISTA system recovery Tool
  5. Select Repair windows vista and you done.

Solution two

If the first solution did not work try this one you will need to revuild the BCD by using Bootrec.exe tool from the Recovery Environment follow these steps.
  1. Get the Vista DVD and insert it into your computer
  2. Reset the BIOS to run from the CD drive first
  3. Choose repair your computer and click next
  4. From the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt
  5. Type bootrec /rebuildbcd and then press ENTER
  6. Restart the computer.
