Posted on August 5, 2008 by admin

Have you ever ran out space on the drive where windows installed? this may happened because you installed too many programs or your don’t have enough space.

There are simple tip to avoid this, change the default install directory usually it’s “C:\Programs Files” you need to change this drive to something else where there is enough space for example drive D

  1. Open up start menu choose run/and type regedit
  2. Now navigate to this path “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion”
  3. On the right side select “ProgramFilesDir” the Defualt value should be “C:\Programs Files” you need to change it to something like that “D:\Program files”

Now windows will use the location you have choosed instead of  “C:\Programs Files” for any new program you install.
