Microsoft release the public beta version of windows 7 and windows server 2008 R2 service pack 1 (SP1). This version SP1 does not contain any new features for windows 7 but instead only contains hotfix and updates already available via windows update.

This version of SP1 is available for download via Windows Update and Standalone download, with support of both  32-bit and 64-bit. Also note this version will expire on June 30, 2011, and it will add  watermark on your Desktop .

How to turn on and turn off system restore in Windows 7 System Restore regularly tracks changes to your computer’s system files and uses a feature called system protection  to create restore points. System protection is turned on by default on the hard disk that Windows is installed on. You can turn on System Restore for other disks by turning on system protection for those disks.
