Microsoft has released final version of  "Windows Live Movie Maker"  movie maker is free and simple video editing software. The new final version comes with lots of new transitions effects and new interface.

Windows Live Movie Maker only supports Windows Vista and 7. Windows XP is not supported. Windows XP users can download Windows Movie Maker 2.1 .

How To Changing Firefox 3.5 Default Search Engine

Do you want to change Firefox 3.5 default search engine For some reasons you may want to  set Firefox default search to  “Microsoft’s Bing” search engine, or any other engine, so when you need to search for something using you favorite search engine you can just type it it Firefox address bard and hit enter and then Firefox will go to the search result page.

  • Type in  Firefox address bar  : “about:config
  • In the Filter bar type in browser.search
  • Now located the following strings and change it to the search engine you want to use

 

browser.search.defaultenginename : Google
browser.search.defaulturl : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=
keyword.URL : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=

Now every time you want to search for something just type it in Firefox address bar and hit enter and fore fox will automatically go to Google search page or any other search engine you have changed to before.

Microsoft is hosting launch events of Windows 7, Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010 for IT Professionals and Developers across the United States. The events will take place between September 28 to November 4. This is a part of “New Efficiency” marketing campaign. The campaign will showcase new products and what they mean for IT professionals and developers.

All the attendees will get a free copy of Windows 7 Professional.

Register yourself for the events. Select your city and register for the event. Select either IT or developer sessions and then pick what product you want to “Deep-dive” into for the afternoon. Click on the links below and register for the event.

How To Setup Gmail To Send Or Receive Hotmail Emails

You can set up Gmail to send and receive hotmail email, so it pretty easy to manage your hotmail email from Gmail,lets us access Hotmail to retrieve and send mails from any other email program.

How to configure Gmail, to send or receive hotmail email?

configure Gmail for Hotmail POP3 settings. Follow these steps to setup your Gmail to use hotmail pop3 setting:

  • Click Settings in Gmail and open the Accounts and Import tab
  • In the Get mail from other accounts section, click Add another mail account
  • Enter your full Hotmail email address and click Next Step
  • Enter your Hotmail email address, Username and Password in their respective text boxes
  • Choose pop3.live.com server and 995 port
  • If you’d like to keep a copy of each mail that Gmail retrieves, in your Hotmail account as well, select the Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server checkbox. This way, you can access mail in your other accounts, and in Gmail.
  • Since Hotmail requires you use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving a Hotmail mail, select the Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail checkbox.
  • If you do like to distinguish your Hotmail mails from your Gmail mails, choose Label incoming messages option and use any preferred label. You can select an existing label or create a new one from the drop-down list.
  • If you don’t want your Hotmail mails to show up in your Gmail Inbox and you want to automatically archive them, choose Archive incoming messages option
  • Click Add Account
  • Once your hotmail account has been added successfully, you’ll have the option of setting it as a custom From address. This allows you to compose messages in Gmail, but have them appear to be sent from your Hotmail account. Click Yes to set up a custom From address.
